Hoberg is a co-founder of Open-Xchange and serves as executive vice president, Sales and general manager for the German subsidiary, OpenXchange GmbH responsible for Open-Xchange´s worldwide sales activities, as well as day-to-day operations of the company in Germany.

Hoberg served as CEO of the company from 2004-2008, establishing partnerships with 1&1, the leading web hosting company in Europe, and other major customers. He co-founded Netline Internet Service GmbH – the predecessor of Open-Xchange - in 1998 with Martin Kauss. In his role as CEO for Netline, he was crucial in establishing the key partnership with SUSE Linux.
